Scribblers on the Road

About the Program

Scribblers on the Road is a regional arts and literacy initiative that brings professional storytellers, writers and illustrators into Pilbara schools to spark imagination, support literacy, and inspire future creative careers.

Delivered by FORM in association with the Hanrine Foundation, the program includes:

  • School-based workshops and creative learning sessions
  • Paid opportunities for local artists and storytellers
  • Tailored storytelling programs that reflect local culture and interests

Developed in consultation with schools and Aboriginal organisations, Scribblers is designed to be accessible, culturally responsive and highly engaging. The experience has reached more than a dozen schools and been described by students and teachers alike as a transformative.

By helping students explore their own stories through words, images, books and performance, Scribblers on the Road builds confidence, creativity and connection across the region.
